How to clean silverware
Silver in its pure form is too soft a metal and is not suitable for the manufacture of products, therefore, to increase hardness and strength, copper or zinc is added to it. The alloy, which consists of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, is called sterling silver. It is used in the manufacture of jewelry, dishes and other household appliances.
